If your child is struggling, it’s usually not because they can’t learn — something is getting in the way.

I work with students who are having difficulty with reading or math, and in most cases, it’s not a lack of ability. There’s usually a barrier — a missing or misunderstood skill — making everything feel harder than it should.

When that barrier isn’t addressed, students can start to feel stuck, frustrated, or unsure of themselves.

My focus is to identify where the breakdown is occurring and fix it. Once we identify what’s getting in the way, we can slow things down, rebuild that skill, and help everything start to make sense again.

• Trouble sounding out or blending words
• Reading but not really understanding
• Getting stuck on math concepts that should feel easier
• Gaps from earlier grades that are now showing up
• Feeling frustrated or losing confidence

Meet Your Child’s Tutor

Cindy Kirkpatrick

I’m a certified teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience, and I’ve been tutoring students online since 2016.

II specialize in helping students who are struggling, especially when learning just isn’t making sense. Students often reach a point where things stop making sense — usually because a key skill was missed or underdeveloped.

My job is to identify that barrier and break it down into smaller, manageable steps.

So your child can understand what they’re doing and start to feel successful again.

No two children are alike; therefore, no two lesson maps are the same.

I’d love to support your child’s learning journey.

If your child is struggling, it’s usually not because they can’t learn — it means something is getting in the way.

Sometimes it’s a missing foundational skill.
Sometimes it’s a lack of confidence.

Sometimes they just need someone to slow things down and teach in a way that makes sense. That’s where I come in.

I take the time to figure out exactly what your child needs, break it down into manageable steps, and help them build the understanding and confidence they need.

Because when learning starts to make sense, everything changes.
