My name is Tiffany Franklin, and I am from Baltimore, Maryland. Back in April 2024, I noticed that my 5th grader at the time needed some additional help with his classes. His grades were not the best, and he had some trouble with reading. Based on his standardized test results, he was below grade level in reading and math. I was familiar with Care.com, so I decided to make a post. In my post, I expressed my needs and let the requests roll in. I had a few, but they were not a good fit. Cindy sent me a message in detail about her tutoring services. I was impressed with the message, and she left me her contact information. I sent her an email letting her know I was interested in her services based on what she provided. We had a Zoom meeting, and I let her know what my son’s struggles were. In this Zoom meeting, she explained her tutoring style and the software she used. I loved this specific software because my son is very techy and likes games. She also allowed my son to meet with her and get a feel for the software to see if he liked it. Upon their first meeting, she was excellent; her personality is amazing, and she is very attentive to his needs. We quickly started with 3 days a week, and her rates were very reasonable. It is now February 2025, and I could not be happier with my son’s progress. She often updates me with how he is doing with his reading and math skills. Since we have been with her, his reading level has increased, he is developing skills to better understand his math, and his reading comprehension has improved. Communication is great, she keeps me included with his reading materials to make sure he is interested. She also goes along with what he is doing in school to make sure he stays on track. During his lessons, she fluctuates between math and reading to keep him stimulated and engaged. The software she uses reminds me of a reward system with gems and playgrounds, so he can have something to look forward to with his hard work. I recommend her services to anyone in need of tutoring for their children. She even sends birthday cards! I am blessed to have her, and we will be using her services for as long as we need.
