Small group reading experiences that build comprehension, confidence, and a love of reading.

Students may work one-on-one or in a small group setting, depending on what best fits their needs.
To keep progress moving, students should complete any reading or PACE work not finished during our session before the next meeting. In one-on-one sessions, we can use tutoring time to complete unfinished work if needed. In small-group sessions, we continue with the planned lesson so that all students stay on track, even if a student has not completed their work.

Boxcar Children Book #1
Follow four siblings as they build a life of independence, teamwork, and adventure.
In this book club, we will read The Boxcar Children series together. The first book follows four siblings as they learn to work together and take care of one another after facing difficult circumstances. It’s a meaningful story that builds both comprehension and connection.
As we continue through the series, students will explore new adventures while strengthening their vocabulary and understanding of the text.
Our goal is to read one chapter each session, followed by guided comprehension activities that we complete together.
At the end of the book, we celebrate by watching the movie together!
Homework
In one-on-one sessions, we can use tutoring time to finish incomplete work, if needed.
In small-group sessions, we continue with the planned lesson so that all students stay on track, even if a student has not completed their work.

ACE Literature
A structured, step-by-step literature program that builds strong comprehension, thoughtful discussion, and confident readers.
These classes follow the ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) Literature and Creative Writing program.
Our goal is to read a chapter and complete activities together during each session. Any PACE pages we do not finish together will be assigned as homework to complete before the next meeting.
Students may work one-on-one or in a small group setting, depending on what best fits their needs.
Whether your child is just beginning ACE Literature and Creative Writing (PACEs 1025–1030) or is already working through a book, we can begin at their current level and build from there.
If your child is working at a different level, I can support them there as well.
